Outseta pricing: how the plans are built
Outseta sells four plans, Start, Scale, Pro and Max, sized by the number of contacts: up to 1,000, 10,000, 25,000 and 100,000. Every plan lists the same features, and the Pro and Max descriptions add priority support. What changes is the contact limit, the plan price and the payment fee Outseta adds on top of Stripe's processing fee. The pricing page puts that fee at 2% on Start, 1% on Scale and Pro, and 0% on Max.
The page shows a Yearly view and a Monthly view, and labels the yearly view with about 25% savings. Amounts stay on the vendor's live pricing page, read on October 23, 2026, and are not repeated here.
What yearly and monthly billing mean
- Billing cycle: the terms say you are billed in advance each cycle, and that cycles are monthly or annual depending on the plan you choose. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel.
- Commitment: the pricing FAQ says there are no contracts and that monthly and annual plans both let you leave at any time.
- Refunds: the pricing page offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, while the terms say paid subscription fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Ask which applies to your plan before you pay for a year.
How the payment fee works
- It is a second fee. The pricing FAQ says Outseta's fee is charged in addition to Stripe's standard fees.
- It applies to processed payments. The terms apply it to successfully processed transactions, so a site that takes no payments through Outseta has no payment fee.
- It is invoiced monthly. The terms say Outseta bills the fee directly, based on your transaction volume over the previous 30 days, and does not refund it when a payment is later refunded.
- The pages differ on rates. The terms mention a fee of 2% or 1%, while the pricing page shows 0% on the top plan.
A cost check you can run with your own numbers
Write down three figures before you compare tools. First, the plan price from the vendor's page, in the Yearly or Monthly view you would really use. Second, the member payments you expect to run through the site in a month. Third, Stripe's own fee on those payments, from Stripe's pricing page.
Monthly cost is the plan price, plus the Outseta fee rate times the member payments, plus Stripe's fee on the same payments. With member payments of 2,000 in a month, a 2% fee comes to 40 and a 1% fee to 20, in whatever currency you bill. A larger plan makes sense only when the saved fee outweighs its higher plan price, and Outseta's own comparison page frames that break-even for its entry plan against Memberstack.
Contacts are the vendor's unit for plan size. Ask what counts toward the limit before you import a mailing list.
Trial terms to read before you start
The pricing page says every plan has a 14-day free trial with all features. The FAQ data in the same page's source says 7 days, says the trial converts to a paid plan unless you cancel, and mentions an email reminder before a charge. Outseta's comparison page describes the trial as needing no credit card. Read the sign-up screen on the day you start, and put the end date in your calendar.
How the pricing compares with named rivals
- Memberstack sizes plans by live members, counting free and paying members, and adds its own fee of 4% on the entry plan, falling to 0% on the top plan. See Outseta vs Memberstack.
- MemberSpace lists a 5% fee on its Starter plan and 2% on Growth, with unlimited members, and a trial of 7 days.
- The Webflow membership plugin shortlist groups the rest by how they bill.
