Side-by-side comparison

Outseta vs Memberstack: what each includes, how each charges and who should pick which

Outseta and Memberstack side by side from each vendor's own pages: scope, how each counts its bill, payment fees, trials, logins and who should pick which.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-23

Quick answerThe main difference is scope. Outseta bundles logins, Stripe billing, a CRM, email and a help desk, while Memberstack centers on logins, payments, gated content and member data, and connects to tools you already use. Each vendor's comparison page argues its own side, so check the features you need against both pricing pages.
Outseta is likely to fit when

✓ Site owners who want logins, Stripe billing, a CRM and email in one account

✓ Agencies building members areas on Webflow or Framer for client sites

✓ Owners leaving Webflow User Accounts who need a documented replacement

✓ Sites with a small team that needs several seats in one account

Important limitations

— Sites where one shared password protects everything needed

— Owners who already run a CRM, email tool and help desk they want to keep and only need a login

— Sites that must keep sensitive files behind a server-side check rather than a browser-side gate

— Anyone who needs independent proof of vendor claims before paying

Outseta vs Memberstack: the main difference

Both tools add logins, Stripe payments and gated pages to a Webflow site, so the difference is what surrounds them. Outseta adds a CRM, email automation and a help desk inside the same subscription. Memberstack keeps to logins, payments, gated content, member data and email campaigns, and sends everything else to tools you pick.

Readers also search this pair in the other order, Memberstack vs Outseta. The comparison is the same. Both vendors' pages were read on October 23, 2026, and amounts stay on those pages.

Side by side: what each vendor's pages state

  • Plan size: Outseta sizes four plans by contacts, from 1,000 to 100,000. Memberstack sizes four plans by live members, free and paying together, with test mode members left out.
  • Payment fee on top of Stripe: Outseta lists 2%, 1%, 1% and 0% from the entry plan up. Memberstack lists 4%, 2%, 0.9% and 0%.
  • Trial: Outseta states a 14-day trial, with a 7-day statement in its own page data. Memberstack lets you build in test mode for as long as you like, with no card, and pay when you launch.
  • Logins: Outseta lists email and password, Google, magic link and two-factor sign in. Memberstack lists more social providers, including GitHub, Facebook, LinkedIn, Spotify and Dribbble.
  • CRM and help desk: included in Outseta. Memberstack points to outside tools for both.
  • Webflow design: both say you keep full control of the look. Outseta says it syncs members to the Webflow CMS. Memberstack stresses data attributes and a large free component library.
  • Framer: Outseta has a plugin in the Framer Marketplace. Memberstack's pages describe it as built for Webflow, WordPress and custom code, for adding logins to any website.

Where the vendors disagree about each other

Outseta's page says Memberstack's email campaigns are in beta and that drip sequences need a connected tool, while Memberstack's page says its email marketing is built in. Memberstack's page says Outseta's forms sit on top of your site, while Outseta's page says you can now build and style your own forms in Webflow.

The vendors also quote different starting figures for Memberstack's entry plan, because the yearly and monthly views differ. Treat both comparison pages as sales positions and compare the features you need on each pricing page.

A cost check that works for both

Add the plan price, the vendor's fee rate times your monthly member payments, and Stripe's fee on those payments. Outseta's page says its lower fee makes its entry plan cheaper than Memberstack's entry plan once monthly sales pass a break-even point. That point depends on the plan prices on the day you look, so work it out yourself. Count members against contacts too, because the two tools size plans differently.

Which to choose

  • Choose Outseta if you want a CRM, email sequences and support tools in the same account and have none yet.
  • Choose Memberstack if you already use a CRM and email tool, want many social logins, or want to build before paying.
  • Choose a plugin built for one platform if you use Framer or want a lighter tool. See the Webflow membership plugin shortlist.
  • Choose neither yet if one shared password protects what you need.

Switching later

Outseta says it migrates Memberstack members and subscriptions for free and that active subscriptions keep running in your Stripe account. Check that promise in writing before you move. For the Outseta side in full, read the Outseta review and Outseta pricing. Webflow's own Memberships feature ended on January 29, 2026, and Memberstack's page comparing itself with that feature now says it has been sunset.
