Framer membership plugin: logins, paywalls and fees

Last reviewed October 23, 2026

Quick answerOf the two Framer plugins here, pick FrameAuth to keep sales free of any cut, or Outseta for member records, email and a help desk too. Framer's own password covers the whole site, not members.

Two Framer plugins at a glance

Two plugins compared here add member logins and payments to a Framer site. FrameAuth (formerly FramerAuth) works on Framer only and says it takes no cut of member payments. Outseta adds a member record, email and a help desk, and also runs on Webflow and custom code. Billed monthly, as read on October 23, 2026, FrameAuth Starter is $29.99 a month and Outseta Start is $47 a month.

Pick FrameAuth for a Framer-only site that wants no cut of sales taken. Pick Outseta when the same members also need records, email and support in one account. Framer's own password needs no plugin, but it is one shared password, not member accounts.

FrameAuth: logins and payments with no cut

FrameAuth is built for Framer only, as a no-code login and membership plugin. Visitors pay through Stripe or Lemon Squeezy, and FrameAuth says you keep 100% of each sale minus Stripe's standard fees. Starter is $29.99 a month for 1,000 users (its unit for plan size) and 1 collaborator. Growth is $49.99 for 5,000 users and Business $124.99 for 10,000, all billed monthly.

FrameAuth can require a purchase or only a free sign-up, and it can hide selected frames, text, media or CMS content. It offers a free 14-day trial, and its Framer Marketplace listing states a 30-day refund guarantee. FrameAuth's pricing page also has a yearly view; the prices here are its monthly-billed cards.

Outseta's Framer plugin: the members area plus a CRM

Outseta's plugin comes from the Framer Marketplace. Enter your Outseta address on its Custom Code tab and it adds Outseta's script to the site header. The Outseta Framer plugin guide has the steps.

Start is $47 a month billed monthly, or $37 billed yearly, for up to 1,000 contacts, a word Outseta's pricing page does not define. Outseta's payment fee is 2% on Start, on top of Stripe's card fee, and every plan lists the same CRM, email and help desk.

Outseta's visible pages say its free trial lasts 14 days, while the structured data (code for search engines that visitors do not see) behind its pricing page says 7 days and a switch to a paid plan unless you cancel. Outseta pricing explains the difference.

Framer's own password protection

Framer's built-in password puts one shared password in front of the site. Framer's own lesson says it creates no individual users, roles or account-specific access, so it suits a private preview, not paying members. Framer's pricing page lists a Password protect row drawn with icons, so read its plan columns there.

Framer's site plans, as read on October 23, 2026, are Basic at $10 a month and Pro at $30 a month billed yearly, or $15 and $45 billed monthly. For member accounts, compare Outseta vs FrameAuth.

Testing a Framer members area before launch

Framer does not load custom code in its canvas preview, and Outseta says its embeds do not work in Framer's preview mode. Publish the site and test the full flow on the live URL. Remove any Outseta script pasted by hand before using the plugin, which adds its own.

Outseta's help center says the product does not come with a testing or staging environment of its own. One help article recommends connecting Outseta to Stripe in test mode and paying with Stripe's test cards.
