Webflow membership plugin free: test modes, trials and limits

What each plugin lets you do before paying

No Webflow membership plugin compared here stays free once members pay. Webflow User Accounts (also called Memberships) is no longer available as of January 29, 2026, so every option here is a separate tool or a shared password. Memberstack and Memberful are free in test mode until a site takes live payments. Outseta's pricing page gives a 14-day trial, while the structured data (code for search engines that visitors do not see) behind it says 7 days. MemberSpace gives a 7-day trial. Neither is a free plan.

Free test modes on Memberstack and Memberful

Memberstack lets you build and try every feature on a test site, free, for unlimited time with no card. Its sandbox takes up to 50 test members, and test members are not counted. Live, free and paying members both count: Basic covers 1,000 live members, and at 100% Memberstack upgrades the account to the next tier automatically. It needs custom code on Webflow, which a paid Site plan or a paid Workspace plan unlocks.

Every Memberful account begins in test mode and costs nothing until Stripe is connected for live payments. Going live is permanent: the account cannot return to test mode. Memberful's own Webflow page says Webflow does not support single sign-on with Memberful, so it cannot make true members-only pages there, though members can still sign in and manage billing. Webflow's directory describes Memberful as adding gated content delivery, so the two pages differ.

Trials on Outseta and MemberSpace

Outseta's pricing page gives a 14-day free trial with every plan, and its sign-up page says no credit card is required. The structured data behind the pricing page says 7 days and a switch to a paid plan unless you cancel; Outseta pricing and Outseta free trial cover the difference. The pricing page lists no free plan.

MemberSpace says "Try free for 7 days", and its terms say billing information may be required to sign up. Starter is $24 a month billed annually with a 5% fee on sales. MemberSpace's page shows annual figures only.

When Webflow's password protection is enough

Webflow's own passwords need no member tool, only a paid Site plan. Basic is $15 a month billed yearly, or $25 billed monthly. Each page and folder can have its own password, a password on a Collection template page covers every page that Collection generates, and a site-wide password overrides the rest. It is one shared secret, with no member accounts or payments.
