Outseta vs Memberful: Webflow gating, fees and price

Last reviewed October 23, 2026

Quick answerOn a Webflow site Outseta fits better, since Memberful's own docs say it cannot make true members-only pages there. Memberful suits selling subscriptions with no member cap where no page needs gating.

Gated Webflow pages or ungated subscriptions

On a Webflow site, pick Outseta. Memberful's own documentation says it cannot make true members-only pages on Webflow, while Outseta's content groups protect pages and folders by plan. Pick Memberful to sell subscriptions to an unlimited number of members where no page needs gating.

As read on October 23, 2026, on monthly billing, Memberful Standard is $49 a month plus a 4.9% transaction fee, and Outseta Start is $47 a month, billed monthly, plus a 2% fee. Memberful's pricing page shows no yearly view.

Members-only pages on Webflow

Memberful's Webflow page says Webflow does not support single sign-on, so true members-only pages are not possible there. Its members can still sign in, manage their subscription and billing and update their profile. Memberful's site-builder page adds that you cannot use Memberful to restrict access to pages hosted directly on Webflow.

Outseta protects pages or whole folders by plan or add-on through content groups, shows or hides single elements by plan, and sends visitors without access to a page you choose.

Outseta calls its gating JavaScript-based, and its help center says a technical visitor could disable JavaScript and see protected content. An optional script redirects those visitors, and for sensitive content Outseta says the server must verify the member. Webflow gated content covers the steps. This is product information, not security advice.

Price and fees on the monthly view

Memberful bills month-to-month and applies a flat 4.9% fee on each purchase or renewal. Stripe charges a card fee on top that Memberful says varies by country; its pricing page quotes typically 2.9% + $0.30. Memberful supports Stripe only.

Outseta Start is $47 a month, billed monthly, with a 2% payment fee, and Scale is $127 a month, billed monthly, with 1%. Outseta puts Stripe's card fee at typically 2.9% + 30¢ in the US, and its release post says Stripe adds a 0.7% Billing fee on subscription payments for new accounts. Memberful sets no cap on members, while Outseta sizes plans by contacts, a unit its pricing page does not define.

Test mode, trial and going live

Memberful starts every account in test mode, free until you connect Stripe and accept live payments. Going live cannot be undone: once Stripe is connected, the account cannot return to test mode.

Outseta has no built-in test or staging environment, so its help center recommends connecting it to Stripe's test mode. Its trial runs 14 days on its visible pages, with only the structured data (code for search engines that visitors do not see) behind the pricing page saying 7, and its sign-up page asks for no card.

Moving members between them

Outseta documents the move from Memberful. It says it imports Stripe payment tokens directly from Stripe-based tools, Memberful among them, so billing continues. It asks for two exports from your Stripe dashboard, Customers and Subscriptions, and members get a password-reset email because passwords do not move. Outseta's import help says to cancel the previous subscriptions, or customers may be charged by both.

Outseta says free migration is included on every paid plan. Memberful's own import line names systems like MemberPress, MemberSpace and Hype as sources for active Stripe subscriptions. Outseta vs Memberstack covers the other Stripe-based option, and Outseta pricing lists every plan.
