Membership website cost: site plan, member tool and fees per month

The four parts of the monthly cost

A members area on a Webflow or Framer site costs four things each month: the site plan, the member tool's plan, the tool's cut of each payment and Stripe's card fee. The first two are flat. The last two grow with the payments members make.

Webflow no longer sells a member feature, because User Accounts ended on January 29, 2026, so the honest cost is a site plan plus a tool. Figures are US dollars, as read on October 23, 2026.

The site plan on Webflow or Framer

Webflow's Site plans, billed yearly, are Basic at $15 a month and Premium at $25; billed monthly they are $25 and $39. On Webflow, Outseta, Memberstack and MemberSpace each add a script, and Webflow says custom code comes with a paid Site plan or a paid Workspace plan. Framer's Basic and Pro are $10 and $30 a month billed yearly, or $15 and $45 billed monthly.

The member tool's plan and its fee

• Outseta Start covers up to 1,000 contacts, a word its pricing page does not define. Its payment fee falls to 1% on Scale and Pro.
• Memberstack Basic covers 1,000 live members, free and paying both counted, and moves the account up a tier automatically at 100%.
• MemberSpace Starter is $24 a month billed annually with a 5% fee.
• Memberful Standard is $49 a month billed monthly plus 4.9%.
• FrameAuth Starter is $29.99 a month billed monthly and says it takes no cut.

Per Outseta's October 1, 2026 release post, Stripe adds a 0.7% Billing fee on subscription payments on new Outseta accounts. Outseta pricing has more on Outseta's fees.

Working out your own month

Add the plan price, the tool's percentage of the month's payments, Stripe's 2.9% of those payments and 30¢ on every charge. Use your own numbers. The month's payments drive the last two parts, and the 30¢ grows with the number of payments, not the price. On a new Outseta account, Outseta's October 1, 2026 release post says Stripe also takes 0.7% of subscription payments, so add that to Stripe's part. Outseta's trial includes every feature, so you can enter your own plans and prices before paying. Its pricing page says the trial lasts 14 days, while the structured data (code for search engines that visitors do not see) behind that page says 7 days and a switch to a paid plan unless you cancel.

When a lower fee beats a lower plan price

Outseta Start against Memberstack Basic: the 2-point fee gap makes up the plan price gap at $900 a month in payments on monthly prices ($47 against $29), or $600 on yearly prices ($37 against $25). Outseta Start to Scale makes up its gap at $8,000 a month in payments on monthly prices, or $6,000 on yearly ones. These sums count plan prices and each tool's cut only, not Stripe's fees.
